Windsor police are looking for a suspect after a convenience store was robbed at knifepoint on Sunday night.

Officers were dispatched to Crystal Convenience at 7:45 p.m. at 4000 Tecumseh Road East. 

Investigation revealed that a male suspect entered the store and approached the employee at the front counter.  

Police say the suspect held out a knife toward the employee and demanded cash. 

The employee opened the cash register and while the suspect was grabbing the money he jumped the front counter and attempted to lock the suspect inside.  The suspect forced open the door and fled the scene. 

He was last seen running westbound towards George Avenue on the north side of Tecumseh Road East.

The suspect is described as a white man, 25 years old, with short light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a light blue Under Armour hoodie, dark pants, dark shoes, dark backpack.
