Windsor police are looking for the driver of a black Nitro after a hit and run with a Transit Windsor bus downtown.

On April 8 at 5 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Ferry Street and Pitt Street for a collision involving a Transit Windsor bus and a black SUV, which had left the scene.

Investigation revealed that the bus was travelling east on Pitt Street and the Nitro was northbound on Ferry Street.

The Nitro allegedly failed to stop for the stop sign and proceeded northbound through the intersection.  The driver of the bus had to brake quickly and collided with the Nitro.

There was very minimal damage to the bus but the Nitro may have damage on the passenger's side of the vehicle.

One of the passengers on the bus took a picture of the vehicle but the licence plate number isn't visible.

Police say as a result of the accident one of the passengers reported having a sore knee.  Please review the picture and if you have any information call the police.
