Windsor police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect accused of stealing an elderly woman’s purse.
Officers were called to the Shoppers Drug Mart at 11500 Tecumseh Rd. E. around 12:20 p.m. for a report of a theft. When officers arrived they spoke with a 73-year-old woman, who said she left her purse in her cart while looking at cosmetics.
Police says surveillance video spotted the accused leaving the store with the purse in hand.
The suspect is described as a white female between the ages of 48 and 58-years-old; standing 5’8”, with a medium build, short dyed streaked blonde hair and large rimmed glasses. She was last seen wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and white running shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
