Windsor police are asking for help identifying a man after a theft at the south Windsor Walmart.

Officers were called to the store in the 3100 block of Dougall Avenue on Dec. 9 at about 7:45 p.m.

Investigation revealed that a man and woman were in the store with various items in shopping carts.

They both allegedly left the store out the fire exit without making any attempt to pay for the items.

They were confronted by loss prevention officers and advised that they were under arrest.

The pair allegedly ignored the loss prevention officer, left the merchandise and ran off in separate directions.

The loss prevention officer attempted to grab the woman, but she managed to get away into a vehicle waiting nearby.  The vehicle drove off and picked up the suspect male and they continued northbound on Dougall.

The 23-year-old woman was later identified and contacted by investigators.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the male suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4305, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS), online at www.catchcrooks.com, or Submit a Tip on Facebook.
