Three players have been suspended for a season, following allegations of bullying within a Southpoint minor hockey team.
League president Greg Dries tells CTV News that interviews were conducted with players, league officials and Leamington OPP, to help pinpoint who may have been responsible for the bullying of Josh Bluhm. The league has acknowledged at least one case of bullying against the teenager.
As CTV News first reported earlier this month, Bluhm sayshe was bullied all season long and was quiet about it, until two back to back incidents he says, forced him to walk away from the league.
The first incident, he says, happened when he was locked in a bathroom for 15 minutes. The following night before a game, he says his hockey equipment was thrown in a garbage pail and he was also told some teammates had urinated on his clothes.
After the second incident, Bluhm's teammate Justin Church also quit the team.
Dries says three boys are now suspended for the 2014/2015 hockey season.
The league will now submit a report to the Ontario Minor hockey Association on how they came to their decision.
