There were some tense moments at the Windsor International Airport on Friday morning as a plane from Toronto circled for about 20 minutes due to technical concerns.

The Porter Airlines plane eventually landed safely and all 28 passengers on board were unhurt.

Ken Hunt, acting district chief for Windsor Fire, says "The plane landed without incident, landed safely there wasn't any problems so we're done and everybody is home safe and that's good to go."

There are reports an indicator light came on raising concerns about the front-end landing gear.

However, the plane eventually landed without incident.

Passengers who were on the flight say the pilot and flight attendants were keeping them informed, but everything was so smooth they wouldn't have known there was an issue otherwise.

Jennifer Norrie-Booth was on the plane and says "This was one of the smoothest landings I've ever had so we would never have known if they weren't communicating so well with us."

The investigation into what happened continues, but officials say the problem was just technical.
