An individual is safe and in custody, after a Tuesday morning standoff in the Windsor’s west end.
According to police, officers were sent to the 600 block of Cameron Ave. shortly before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police were attempting to negotiate with a “distraught subject” who barricaded themselves in an apartment unit.
Police closed Wyandotte Street West between Wellington Avenue and McKay Avenue, while negotiations took place. They have since re-opened the road.
