Two men were arrested for a break and enter while homeowners were painting on Sunday afternoon.

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Cataraqui Street around 4:50 p.m.

The homeowners left the front door open to help with ventilation while they painted. The couple also had music playing on an iPod in the front room while they painted a bedroom.

The husband discovered two men had entered the residence through the front door and were standing in the front room.  The men indicated they wanted to help paint.  The couple asked them to leave and discovered their iPod was missing.

The suspects left the residence on foot towards Louis Avenue and Elliott Street. Officers found them near Howard Avenue and Elliott Street. Officers say one of the suspects discarded a bright pink ipod as they approached.  Both men were arrested without incident.
