Over $600,000 in marijuana has been seized by the Windsor police drugs and guns unit and OPP officers after searching two storage lockers in Windsor.

Police executed search warrants at Guardian Storage at 5505 Rhodes Drive on Monday.

Officers seized approximately 150 pounds of marijuana, two loaded semi-automatic handguns and a pistol grip shotgun with the serial number removed.

The search and seizure is related to the seven search warrants that were carried out by members of the drugs and guns unit and OPP on Sept. 5 at various city residences.

The investigation is continuing. Police say forensic specialists are attempting to establish ownership of the weapons and marijuana and are conducting testing on the weapons and packaging of the drugs.
