Applicants who hope to work for Highbury Canco in Leamington should hear back from the company in the next two weeks.
Approximately 435 people submitted an application by the Friday deadline. The company expects to hire about 250 hourly and salaried positions. Company president, Sam Diab says he's pleased with the variety of interest for the different positions.
Highbury is scheduled to take over the Leamington tomato processing factory from Heinz on June 27. The deadline for applications was on Friday and the company says they received resumes applications from 435 people.
Interviews for successful candidates should begin near the end of June.
