Chatham-Kent OPP say a 43-year-old Norwegian man has been charged with racing after going 187 kilometres per hour on Highway 401.

An officer was conducting radar enforcement on Highway 401 near  Charing Cross Road on Tuesday.

Just after 9:30 p.m., police say a westbound Ford car appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/h. The officer says the radar registered a speed of 187 km/h. 

The man from Oslo, Norway was charged with racing.  His licence has been suspended and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days.
