The provincial government is partnering with a manufacturing company in Oldcastle to help create 33 new jobs and retain 106 existing positions.

Aalbers Tool & Mold is getting almost $1 million in support from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund. Aalbers is also spending $10 million of its own money to improve its facilities.

The company is investing in new state-of-the-art machinery and employee training that will enhance productivity and competitiveness. Aalbers designs and manufactures precision components for the automotive and consumer goods industries.

“This new equipment and the resultant technical training further enhances our employees’ technical capabilities and competitiveness, coupled with offering reduced lead times and advanced flexibility to our customers,” says Gary Aalbers, Chief Executive Officer of Aalbers.

The project is expected to help the company pursue new opportunities in Ontario’s growing aerospace sector.

Aalbers has been in business for over 30 years. It designs and manufactures precision components for the automotive and consumer goods industries.
