A three-way deal has been reached about Oakwood Community Center and former school.

A deal has been struck that will see the French public school board, Conseil Scolaire Viamonde take over the entire property.

The board has bought the land and former school from the Greater-Essex County School Board, while the city has sold the rear community centre building.

The sale is expected to close on Wednesday.

Viamonde officials say there isn't much work to do to get the entire building ready for more students this coming September.

Meantime, the city has secured a lease agreement with the French board to keep Oakwood programming here for at least the next two to three years.
