Things are looking up for Ginny the Lionheart, a three-hoofed miniature horse.

Ginny's leg was amputated after getting caught in barbed wire when she was very young.

The little horse had outgrown its original prosthetic leg, and the new owners - from Gesto, Ont. - started a fundraising campaign to create a new prosthetic.

While money is still needed to cover the full cost, the new prosthetic is on its way.

The GoFundMe campaign set up by the family has just passed the halfway mark toward their $5,000 goal.

It's hoped the new leg will be fitted soon and Ginny will then be able to walk around with ease.
