The current COO of the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation, Rakesh Naidu, has been named the interim CEO.
Board of directors chairperson Martin Komsa said in a statement, “The Board is very pleased to have continuity in the organization with the appointment of Rakesh Naidu. Rakesh is a very dedicated and valuable employee and we are confident he will keep the organization focused."
Naidu takes over from Sandra Pupatello, who in July said she was leaving to pursue other opportunities.
In a statement Naidu said, “I am pleased to accept the role of Interim CEO and thank the Board for giving me this opportunity. Together with the capable employees of the organization we will continue to achieve the goals and objectives as set out for 2015.”
He has been with the organization for eight years and works closely with industry leaders as well as in business development with various levels of government.
