Hundreds of people lined-up Wednesday with resumes in hand for a chance to land a job at the soon to be open Schlegel Villages.

Candidates have been lined-up out the door at the Fogolar Furlan Club since 8 a.m., as management looks to fill roughly 300 jobs at the long-term care facility. These jobs include registered nurses, personal support workers and cleaning staff.

As CTV News first reported, construction at 253 bed facility is ahead of schedule. Crews are currently putting the final touches on a general store and chapel. The project is expected to be completed by late summer.

Wednesday’s job fair will run until 8 p.m., but if you can’t make it out, don’t worry. A second job fair is scheduled for Thursday, starting at 8 a.m.
