Narcotics worth $10,000 collected at Take Back Your Drugs event

Windsor police collected about $10,000 of narcotics at the 7^th annual Take Back Your Drugs event.

Crime Stoppers ran the event on April 11 in the parking lot of Devonshire Mall. 

Community members disposed of their unwanted medication and also dropped off their documents to be confidentially shredded for a minimal donation.

Police say the event was a huge success. Over 300 pounds of prescription drugs were displayed at Windsor Police Headquarters on Monday, including such things as Percocet and Fentanyl patches.
