Fire investigators have wrapped up their investigation into a million-dollar apartment fire on Rivard Avenue.

Fire broke out Wednesday morning in a fifth floor apartment.

More than 30 residents were displaced due to water and smoke damage.

Investigators have determined the cause to be accidental.

The community housing corporation says displaced residents on the fifth floor can return to their units by Thanksgiving Monday at 9 a.m.

Residents can’t return in the unit where the fire originated and four units on lower floors sustained serious water damage and also cannot be occupied for a longer period of time.
