A donation to the University of Windsor is expected to help budding entrepreneurs get started.

The Royal Bank of Canada foundation presented an $800,000 cheque to the university's Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre.

The centre supports Windsor and Essex youth, post-secondary students, recent graduates and faculty by connecting them with businesses and other partners to start-up new ventures.

The centre also allows potential candidates to apply for space, rent-free, in an incubator for six months.
