The University of Windsor has shut down one of their residence buildings due to serious mold issues.

After many complaints from students in the Clark Residence the university has closed it down for repairs.

Director of Public Affairs, John Coleman, says he is unsure when it will reopen, but does know it won't be ready when school starts in September.

The residence is a collection of 33 furnished townhouse-style apartments and has the capacity to house five students each.

Coleman says the University has acted quickly on this issue adding he has not heard of any medical issues from former residents.

At this time Coleman is unsure where future students will be housed.
