Investigators were called in after two garage fires near the Walkerville area which occurred blocks from each other.

Firefighters were called out to the 600 block of Parent Avenue before 3:30 a.m. Friday for a small garbage fire found in the middle of the garage.

They were called out again to the 800 block of Louis Avenue about two hours later for a report of another garage fire.

A vehicle was said to be in the garage in the second fire, and it - along with other contents - were destroyed.

Police kept on an eye on both locations as they waited for investigators after both were characterized as arson.

So far, police say there has been a total of seven intentionally set fires since Oct. 19.

There’s no damage estimate available and no suspects at this time.
