Thunder From Down Under

The Thunder From Down Under show is making a stop at Caesars Windsor.  Organizers say it’s the perfect ladies’ night out, with dance performances, charming humour and audience interaction. The Austrialian group debuted in 1991 and various performers have been touring internationally since then.   The dancers hit the stage Friday at 9 p.m., there are still some tickets available.

Drum Marathon

It’s an all-nighter for charity. Local drummer Jeff Burrows is running his 11th annual Drum Marathon this weekend. The Tea Party drummer will be joined by other bands, duos and solo artists for 24 hours of music. The event raises money for Transition 2 Betterness and St. Clair College.

Princess Aplenty

Riverfront Theatre Company is presenting their freshly expanded version of Princesses Aplenty. The Fractured Fairy Tale Musical offers a mix of beloved fairy tales, Shakespearean plays, and music from the 1960s. There are three shows, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Olde Walkerville Theatre at 1564 Wyandotte St. E.  Tickets:  $15 adults, $10 under 18. Purchase:  At the door, one hour before each show, cash or credit card. General Admission, 2.5 hrs with intermission.

Retrofest

Over 1,000 collector cars and 25,000 visitors are expected to converge on Chatham this weekend as RetroFest gets underway. The “Classic Car Capitol of Canada” kicks off the event Friday evening with the OLG Classic Car Cruise around the Thames River. Other activities include a classic car show, soap box derby, vendors, kids’ games and live bands.
