Two Windsor police constables are in Ottawa to receive recognition for their bravery.

Const. Sean Rogan and Const. Charles Sasso will receive the Medal of Bravery from Governor General David Johnston on Tuesday, at a ceremony at Rideau Hall.

On Sept. 16, 2011 the two officers responded a crash that left the vehicle on its side and on fire. The constables were able to free the driver and pull him through the sunroof.

The medal recognizes acts of bravery in dangerous situations.
