The condition of a Windsor woman is improving after she was pulled from a fatal apartment fire.
Samantha Stanley has been upgraded from critical to serious condition at Hamilton general hospital.
The 21-year-old woman was found unconscious in an apartment unit on Thornberry Crescent on Feb. 22.
A 30-year-old man, who was also in the same unit, later died.
A fire investigator discovered batteries were missing from the apartment smoke detector.
