Windsor mayoral candidate Larry Horwitz unveiled his platform on quality of life issues on Wednesday.

Horwitz says if he became mayor he would increase funding to the Parks Department by $3 million over four years.

The goal would be to maintain current service and build five accessible playgrounds each year. He also wants the Adie Knox pool to remain open.

Horwitz proposes increasing spending for arts, culture and heritage to $1.2 million over four years and encouraging local festivals and events.

Finally, he wants to see a greener Windsor, by supporting sustainable initiatives and encouraging 'active transportation' such as cycling and walking.
