A trailer manufacturing company moving to Blenheim, Ont., is creating about 100 jobs.

Cross Country Manufacturing is relocating to a 120,000 square-foot facility on Solvay Drive that had been empty since 2008.

The plant will make deck, aggregate and paving trailers used to carry equipment and materials used in construction - including sand, gravel, asphalt and similar materials.

"Cross Country Manufacturing is very proud of our achievements," said Cross Country president Jonathan Doerksen. "We have successfully launched several new trailer models across North America over the past seven years, and we will continue to grow by offering our customers a superior product produced by a quality workforce."

Chatham-Kent Mayor Randy Hope says the municipality has worked closely with Cross Country to support their relocation and expansion plans.

The company is looking for general labourers, welders, trailer assemblers, sandblasters and painters, as well as management and administrative staff.

Interested applicants can submit their resume by visiting the Community Jobs section of the municipal website at www.chatham-kent.ca.
