A man pulled from the Detroit River early Tuesday morning by the U.S. Coast Guard has an outstanding arrest warrant stateside.

Authorities say the man fell into the water near the Ambassador Bridge around 2:30 a.m. A Windsor police patrol heard the man yelling for help from across the river and notified the coast guard.

The man was discovered clinging to a rope attached to a seawall on the U.S. side.

The man will be taken into custody once he's released from a Detroit area hospital.
