A 25-year-old Chatham man is facing a charge after a man sufferered lacerations to his head trying to break up an argument.
Police say it happened at a licenced business on King Street West in Chatham on Saturday.
They say the victim had tried to stop an argument between two males when one of them struck him in the head with a beer bottle.
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. Through investigation the man was identified and agreed to turn himself in to police Saturday night.
He has been charged with assault with a weapon.
