A 23-year-old man has died following a three-vehicle collision late Friday afternoon in Essex.

OPP say the vehicle the man was driving struck the rear of a second vehicle and then spun into the path of the third, a Dodge 3500 pickup truck. The truck then struck the first vehicle, a Chrysler Sebring on the driver's side.

The accident happened at Arner Townline and 10th Concession.

Police have identified the man as Blake Clifford of Essex and said he only lived about five minutes away from the scene.

The accident happened at 5:10 p.m. and the investigation continues.
