Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man after he was found asleep on a couch in someone else's home.

Police were called to a residence on Raleigh Street around 6:30 a.m. Sunday after a homeowner returned to find a red toolbox on his front porch, his front door open and a man asleep on his couch.

The 31-year-old Chatham man has since been charged with break and enter and failing to comply.

It turns out the same man had been released from custody on July 17 with conditions that included he remain in his residence on Colborne Street from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

He was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
