A 29-year-old Windsor man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm in connection with a stabbing on Thursday.

Windsor Police say a 44-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a report of a stabbing in the Remington Park area around 2:15 p.m.

Investigators say the younger man went to a home in the 650 block of Stanley Street and got into a verbal altercation with the older male at the residence which turned physical.

That's when the 44-year-old was allegedly stabbed in the stomach.

Mark Lawrence, 29, of Windsor was located a short distance away and arrested. He also suffered minor injuries and was treated in hospital.

He was expected to appear in court on Friday.
