The Windsor West Member of Parliament is calling for action.

At a news conference Friday, NDP member Brian Masse requested a full evaluation of the Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority.

In a letter sent to the Minister of Infrastructure and Community, Masse posed a number of questions.

Masse tells CTV News he is concerned about the acquisitions for the bridge and the project in general.

The NDP MP says there has been no accountability in missed deadlines for a new crossing which was supposed  to open in 2020.

Another concern is recent talk of acquiring the Ambassador Bridge from the Maroun Interests.

Masse says it's Dwight Duncan's mandate to build the four-billion dollar Gordie Howe International Bridge --- and not to buy the Ambassador Bridge.

But in statement to CTV News, the Bridge Authority says it is not in discusions to purchase the Ambassador Bridge.
