Members of the local Greek-Canadian community want their homeland to remain in the Eurozone as they watched results of Greek’s referendum on TV.
The referendum was close, but the voters rejected the terms of an international bailout.
"We have Greek TV. Everybody is watching so we're very well informed with what's happening in the country,” says Mike Margaritis.
They expect tourism to take a hit, as well as import and exports.
In Greece, banks are closed and there are limits on the amount of money that can be withdrawn.
Despite the tough times, the local Greek community is hopeful.
"I think everything is going to be good. Greeks are survivors. I don't think the Greeks are going to buckle,” Margaritis says.
