It’s the second day of the attempted murder trial of a Windsor man who is accused of starting a house fire that caused burns to a 7-year-old girl and her mother.

Kenneth Kormendy, 44, is facing a total of eight charges, three for attempted murder and five others related to arson, including disregard for human life.

The girl’s mother, Sheri Rueda, took the stand yesterday. Rueda testified she was doused in gasoline and then forced to flee her home as it went up in flames in October 2015.
