LaSalle police are investigating after two young adults were the victims of an attempted robbery and assault in Heritage Park.

The incident occurred Wednesday evening when the victims were approached by two suspects who demanded valuables.

When they didn’t get anything the male victim was assaulted and sustained a broken jaw.

Police say the two suspects left in a white sedan.

One suspect is described as a hispanic male, 5'7, average build with short brown or black hair, clean shaven with a hispanic accent.

The second suspect is described as being a black male with dark skin, 6'1, with a skinny build wearing a hoodie.
