Training camp has opened for Lancers football at the University of Windsor.
This year's group is trying to help the program overcome two back-to-back losing seasons.
Teams are allowed to have 110 players at camp, but Head Coach Joe D'Amore shortened the list to 90 this year.
D’Amore tells CTV Windsor he wants a list of 80 players for the final roster.
“Hopefully we can take a step forward and hopefully get back to the playoffs like we were a couple of years ago,” says D’Amore.
D'Amore plans on giving his younger players more repetitions during camp to help create more depth at certain positions.
The Lancers open their university football season August 27 at home against Waterloo.
