Windsor firefighters were dispatched to a duplex unit at 393 Elm Street around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Officials say one person was sent to hospital with burns to his hand following a stovetop grease fire.
The damage was estimated at $5,000.
About an hour later, crews were sent to the 1700 block of Turner Road for a fire which was extinguished by the church’s sprinkler system.
Investigators determined the cause as accidental, starting in a pile of towels.
The damage was estimated at $3,000 from the water which doused the flames.
