With the thaw descending upon Windsor-Essex, it’s becoming clear, area roads have taken a beating.

City road crews were out and about Friday, filling pot holes and doing patch work on several Windsor roads. Ironically enough, the ones doing the work are those who have been keeping the roads clear all winter long.

“We got a list. A long list,” says worker Dan Nappa. “(There) are ones that will wreck the front end of a car, break the tire rims or what have you.”

City council has allotted $115 million of funding for road work over the past eight years.
