Officials are investigating a fatal fire in Wallaceburg.
Just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday, emergency crews were called to a fire on Langstaff Line.
Upon arrival, the home was fully engulfed.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze but the building was destroyed.
Firefighters located a lone deceased man inside the residence.
Damage is estimated at approximately $100,000.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management, Chatham-Kent Police and Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services will be conducting a joint investigation.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
