Windsor police don’t know the identity of the man who was found dead in the Detroit River.

Police were called to the 3500 block of Russell Street around 5:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of a body in the river near the shoreline.

The body was pulled out and has been sent to London for a scheduled autopsy examination Friday.

The man did not have any identification with him. He is described as a male black, about 20-30 years old. He was wearing a grey hoodie sweater, blue jeans and sneakers that are red and black.
