If you’re travelling in rural areas this time of year the OPP would like to remind you to be mindful of farmers harvesting crops.

OPP say they deal with collisions involving motorists striking farm vehicles, and say that these types of collisions can cause serious injury or even death.

Farm equipment such as tractors, combines and the trailers that they tow are very large and require significant room to safely maneuver on the roadway.

Police want to remind motorists not to tailgate or blow their horn.

If you see farm equipment, slow down and be patient. Pass only if it is safe to do so.
