Windsor police are looking for help identifying a suspect wanted for allegedly stealing over $1,500 worth of gum over the past two weeks.

Officers were called to a 7-Eleven convenience store in the 900 block of Wyandotte Street East on Monday regarding a theft.

The complainant reported a theft of 11 boxes of gum that occurred at another 7-Eleven store on Nov. 8 worth approximately $300. Police say the complainant didn't witness the theft, but the suspect was caught on video surveillance.

Investigation revealed that the same suspect was involved in a string of several thefts at this store and two others over the course of a two-week period, say police.

Each time, the suspect stole numerous boxes of gum by placing it in his back pack and walking out without paying.
