A massive Canadian flag is one step closer to being erected at Windsor's waterfront.
Windsor city council approved the Great Canadian Flag Project in principle during Monday night’s meeting.
Organizers will now pick up its fundraising efforts in the coming weeks.
If they reach their goal, they will place a 150-foot tall 20 by 30 metre Canadian flag at the foot of Ouellette Avenue.
