Things are looking good for job seekers in Windsor, according to the latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey.

The survey suggests the city can anticipate a respectable hiring climate for the third quarter of 2015.

“Survey data reveals that 17 per cent of employers plan to hire for the upcoming quarter (July to September), while three per cent anticipate cutbacks,” said Michael Mastrandrea in a news release.

Another 77 per cent of employers plan to maintain their current staffing levels in the upcoming quarter, while the remaining three per cent are unsure about their hiring intentions.

“With seasonal variations removed from the data, Windsor’s third quarter Net Employment Outlook of 13 per cent is an increase of 10 percentage points compared to the previous quarterly Outlook,” said Mastrandrea. “It is also a 17 percentage point increase from the Outlook reported during the same time last year, indicating a hopeful hiring pace for the upcoming months.”

Windsor's unemployment rate last month was at 11 per cent.
