The Windsor Furniture Bank might close for good by August 15.

The charity furniture operation opened in April of last year at the former science centre on Marion Avenue to help Syrian refugees settle in our area.

Executive Director Bob Cameron says the city has since sold the property and the new owner wants to finish the remediation.

Cameron says his group isn't taking on any new clients, but volunteers continue to wait for a response to the organization's request for a new site.

Cameron adds they need at least three thousand square feet on a single story, near a bus stop and ideally close to downtown.

Otherwise, Cameron says the group will give any remaining furniture to other charitable organizations.
