Windsor residents can ride city buses for free to see the Ford Fireworks on the Detroit River.

Passengers will be able to all buses, excluding the tunnel bus, free of charge between 6 p.m. on Monday, June 27, until the end of the service day.

“Each year the fireworks night attracts thousands of residents to our beautiful riverfront”, said Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens. “And year after year it’s thanks to Zehrs and their sponsorship of Transit Windsor that getting there is so smooth and hassle free for everyone.”

For the eighth consecutive year, the team at Zehrs Markets is sponsoring the rides.

“We take pride in supporting the communities in which we operate and are committed to providing the best customer service that we can,” says Derrick Pittman, vice-president, Zehrs Markets.  “This event is important to the Windsor community and therefore important to us.”

Zehrs Markets also sponsors a free Park n’ Ride shuttle service from Devonshire Mall to the downtown area between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The return service begins immediately after the fireworks and continues until approximately 12:15 a.m., or until all passengers in line have boarded the bus to return to their car.
