For the first time: Wine to be sold at Windsor farmers’ market

For the first time, Essex and Pelee Island wine will be available for purchase at the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market.

When the farmers market opens for the first time this season on Saturday, there will be Essex Pelee Island Coast wineries selling their finest vintage.

In February, the Ontario government announced the start of a pilot program for the sale of VQA wine at farmers’ markets.

The Downtown Windsor Farmers Market runs every Saturday at Charles Clark Square until Oct. 11.
