A Windsor flower shop owner was injured after a break-in at a business on Tecumseh Road East.

Officers were dispatched to the business in the 3000 block of Tecumseh Road East on Tuesday at about 2a.m., for a robbery that just occurred.

Magdalena Oncea is the owner of Floral Scapes. She says she was working late, and was in the store when the break and enter occurred.

"He pushed me out of the way and went straight to the cash register,” says Onecea."He opened it saw there was nothing in it he turned around and got mad, then he noticed my purse and grabbed it."

She says she fought back, struggling to get her purse, but failed.

"He reached in grabbed the wallet took the money, when he did that he pushed me out of the way and I went into the glass,” she says.

Officers spoke to the owner, who stated that the incident occurred when the store was closed and she was preparing to leave. She heard a bang coming from the front and observed the glass from the front door was smashed out.

She says she saw a male crawling in through the bottom of the door.  The suspect pushed her aside and she fell to the ground and injured her hand on broken glass.

The suspect then allegedly took property and a quantity of cash from the victim’s purse and left the store.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5'8”, 20 to 30 years old, medium build, strawberry blonde hair, black hat, black pants and a black T-shirt.
