A flood warning for parts of Leamington has now been downgraded to a flood watch.

The Essex Region Conservation Authority says flooding in the area has subsided.

For the last two days, areas of Leamington near Wheatley have been hit hard by heavy winds.

According to the conservation authority, strong winds caused significant shoreline damage and even flooded roads in certain areas.

Officials with ERCA say this weekend's storm was just as bad if not worse than the storm back in June that left Cotterie Park flooded.
