The Essex Region Conservation Authority is warning of the potential for flooding in low-lying areas.

ERCA says with the ground already being saturated and rain in the forecast, the possibility of flooding exists. Officials also warn of drainage problems, especially in urban areas.

Environment Canada is calling for a 60 per cent chance of rain Thursday night, as well as Friday.

ERCA is asking residents to take precautions ahead of this system. The advisory will remain in effect until 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
